Needing victories to remain in contention for a possible spot in the ACHA Western Regionals the BRONCO”S traveled to Seattle to take on the University of Washington. The trip stared off ominously when the bus became stuck on snow and ice in the Blues. The Team the Coach had to get out and push the bus to get back on the road. After 10.5 hours the BRONCO’S arrived in Seattle. In the Friday night game the exploded for 3 goals Videen, Videen, Videen in the first, 2 goals Crawford, Heady in the second and finished off the 3rd with 2 more goals Heady, Videen. The Huskies were able to find a way to penetrate the BRONCO’S Defense and score twice. But that was it, The BRONCOS adjusted and took away any hope for the rest of the evening. Final score BRONCO’S  7  Huskies 2 Saturday night was Senior night for the Huskies. The BRONCO’S stepped onto the to a fired up U of W team and some really wild and crazy Husky fans. It took 19 minutes playing against an inspired Husky team. going up 1-0. But the Huskies answered back 30 seconds later knotting up the score 1-1 and that is the way the first period ended. The BRONCO’S scored 2 minutes into the second with aggressive fore checking forcing when Kevin Costello forced a turnover that was scooped up by Alex Burgh and passed to Eric Haskins who scored 2 minutes into the 2nd period. The BRONCO Defense of Kincade, Hoogland, Martinez, Barth and Costello stymied the Husky offense until the last 3 minutes of the period when the Huskies scored their 2nd goal knotting up the score once again for a 2-2 game at the end of the 2nd period   In the 3rd the BRONCO’S had had enough scoring 3 goals Heady, Crawford, Crawford midway through the 3rd period in a 3 minute stretch to take the Huskies and their fans out of the game. The Huskies did score one more goal but any any hopes were squashed by Justin Videen a minute later. Final Score Boise State 6  U of W 3 On the way back to Boise 1:30 AM the team was notified that they had moved up a notch to the #9 Ranking.
